PARENTS CODE OF CONDUCT
- I will not force my child to participate in the game of soccer against his/her will.
- I will remember that my child plays soccer for his/her enjoyment and not for mine.
- I will encourage my child to play by the rules of the game.
- I will teach my child that winning is not everything and that it is more important that he/she does their best, enjoys the experience and learns from it.
- I will emphasise the importance of practice and skill development.
- I will praise my child for competing fairly and trying hard and I will make my child feel like a winner every time.
- I will be a positive role model for my child and encourage sportsmanship by applauding good play, showing respect and courtesy to others and by supporting coaches, managers and officials.
- I will insist that my child treats all teammates and opponents with respect and dignity regardless of race, creed, sex or ability.
- I will never ridicule, humiliate or shout at any player for making a mistake or for loosing the match and I will never engage in any form of unsporting behaviour such as booing, taunting or refusing to shake hands.As a spectator, I will not use profane language or harass referees, coaches or managers or other spectators and I will not participate in verbal or physical abuse of any other person in attendance.I will not coach my child at matches unless I am an official team coach.
- I will never publicly question the referees or coaches/managers decisions.
- I will abide by the rules of the club and if disputes arise, I agree to be bound by the clubs code of discipline.
